2007 Summer Day
Those hot days of Summer, when the sun is bright and sweating is guaranteed. All these songs are summer related or are dancey types perfect for getting hot and sweaty.

  • Animals – Nickelback Having fun in a convertible, what is more summery?
  • Axel F. – Harold Faltermeyer Still perfect for hot days.
  • Ballroom Blitz – Sweet Saw this song in an AMV, and it still makes me want to dance!
  • Butterfly – Smile.dk Another song first heard on an AMV, and equally bouncy.
  • Cotton Eyed Joe – Rednex Dance-country done by a Europop group.
  • Crimson Phoenix – Atlas Plug I love this song.

  • Groovin’ – The Rascals Perfect for those lazy days lying by the pool.
  • Heatwave – Julien Creance Summer isn’t summer without heat. This is a dancey song, perfect for getting all hot and bothered.
  • Livin’ la Vida Loca – Ricky Martin Some old-school summer pop.
  • Love Rollercoaster – Red Hot Chili Peppers Love this song. Love it to bits!
  • OUTGROW ~Ready butterfly~ – BoA First heard BoA on one of the ED: Every Heart. This song is a dancey number.
  • Pon de Replay – Rihanna Another song perfect for summer. Definitely makes my hips wiggle.
  • Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now) – Bob Sinclar Makes me bounce in glee!
  • Sexyback (with Timbaland) – Justin Timberlake I loved the video and this makes me want to dance.
  • Stayin’ Alive – N-trance Remix of the Bee Gee’s Stayin’ Alive. I played this when I first got it and my mother in law actually started dancing to it.
  • Summer Girls – LFO Yet another classic summer song.
  • Summerday – Puppet Generation Another dance song, with summer as its theme.
  • Summertime – DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince A perfect summer song.
  • Tarzan Boy – Baltimora This along with the Animal Song below are perfect for those who want to get away from it all.
  • The Animal Song – Savage Garden An ode to running away and living in a jungle.

2007 Summer Nights
The nights can be as steamy as the day, so this mix features slow grooves, thunder and water.

  • Boombastic – Shaggy Makes me groove in my chair and perfect for those parties by the pool.
  • Coin – Shūji Hayashi (Byakuya Kuchiki) and Kengo Ōkuchi (Sōsuke Aizen) from Rock Musical BLEACH: Dark of the Bleeding Moon Oh goodness. I was fangirling so hard when this came on. I love this song! Translation here.

  • Deliver Me – Sarah Brightman Gorgeous voice and so pretty!
  • Hey Lover – LL Cool J & Boyz II Men Slow grooves, hot and steamy and the voices!
  • Hush – LL Cool J & 7 Aurelis I am such an LL Cool J fangirl. This is smooth and perfect for nights outside.
  • Karma Slave – Splashdown Makes me want to bellydance. A definite hip wiggling song. From the Phoenix Blade FST.
  • Kokomo – Beach Boys I remember hearing this song at a party on the beach I attended with my folks quite a few years ago, as the sun was sinking into the ocean. I love this song.
  • Love Song – m-flo loves BONNIE PINK A very catchy song and oooh so nice!
  • Morning glow – Mayuko Aoki From the FF X-2 Vocal Collections: Yuna. Sooooo pretty and gorgeous!
  • Return of the Mack – Mark Morrison I love the piano at at the beginning and it makes me groove.
  • Return to Innocence – Enigma I was 14 when I heard this and oh it left its mark on me. This is a lovely slow song to help coold down those summer nights, with just enough beat to groove to.
  • Sanctuary – Hikaru Utada From the KH 2 soundtrack, a gorgeous song with a bit of pep!
  • SILENT WISH – Shūji Hayashi (Byakuya Kuchiki), Kengo Ōkuchi (Sōsuke Aizen) and Takashi Nagayama (Tōshirō Hitsugaya) (skip to 1:14 for the music, Aizen is first, then Byakuya, then Hitsu) The boyband moves grabbed me and the song is sooo pretty!   • Suteki Da Ne – RIKKI From the FFX soundtrack. I love this song. Plays during the prettiest FMV I have ever seen.
  • Thunder – Nuttin But Stringz Hip-hop and violins? Great combo. Also perfect for those summer night thunderstorms where you can smell the freshness of the air.
  • Underwater Ruins – Nobuo Uematsu From the FFX soundtrack, and reminiscent of diving underwater.
  • Zanarkand Ruins – Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi Jazzy and so pretty! From the FF X-2 soundtrack.
