Black Sky

Layers of Stars

Galaxies spinning in the vastness

The Moon smiling down

So near, yet so far

Red Leaves, Yellow Leaves splashed

Against Gray Skies

Fall

Pink-gold light tinting the world

Wispy fog muffling

The night recedes

The stars hide

And the Moon follows the Sun

Pale white pearl in a bed of black velvet strewn with diamonds

Cold white light caressing the dark hills

Dark side hiding on the other side

Stars shine brighter

Crescent hanging in the sky

Chasing the Sun
