And Baby Makes Three in One Bed – New York Times

So finally the mainstream sees the point of co-sleeping. I Like. I co-slept with DD from the time she was six months old and had finally outgrown her bassinet. She (and I) slept much better and could adjust easily to different work schedules.

Blowjob vs Spying on the Citizens of Your Own Country

Everybody was jumping down Mr. Clinton's throat for getting a bj in office and I'm not hearing any moral outrage about domestic spying? I'm hearing things on the blogs and not very much on the MSM (checks CNN and MSNBC, nope not a peep, NYTimes, yeppers , here it is a brief article on the Spying program.

I think that it is time for Mr. Fitzgerald to some some more digging and indictments, starting with Mr. Bush.

Striking Thoughts

I've been reading about the New York City transit strike and I think that yes one should say I'm tired of working like a dog and not having anything for when I'm old and can't work anymore. Are those lovely people going to help support the retired transit workers who can't live on whatever MTA deems they should have? I don't think so, and the same goes for people working all over the country in union or non union jobs.

The whole point of having Social Security was to help supplement pensions and give a bit of something for those who lost pensions, not a sole means of support. But many companies expect that Social Security will cover their retiring workers when it isn't. The airline industry is having the same problems MTA is having-their pilots and other personnel want their pensions paid in full for the years they have worked.

The CEO's, though, THEIR pensions and bonuses are secure, while the rest of the workers have to make do on SS and low paying jobs and a severely depleted pension fund.

Conservative scholars say it’s impeachable [AMERICAblog]

I listened to dribs and drabs of the speech and also the press conference the next day so I don’t know the full story, but this caught my eye. Reminds me of when the FBI monitored those who might be commies or agitators in the ’50′s and ’60′s.

Hat tip to Think Progress for bringing to our attention the fact that Bruce Fein, who worked in the Reagan Justice Department, and Norm Ornstein, who is a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (where Lynne Cheney works) both seem to think Bush’s criminal domestic spying operation constitutes an impeachable offense.

Untitled Miscellany

I had a week's vacation from the Internet and I was pleasantly surprised that yes one CAN live with out the net. I read Charlie Stross's Accelerando and I should finish it tonight. Gave me lots to think about and I'll write some more when I finish it.
I was sick last Tuesday and it was a lovely stomach flu. I had the work-vomiting, diarrhea and fever and achy muscles. When I started feeling better, I was shocked at all the bloody STUFF that seemingly has accumulated, so I'm planning on doing a massive decluttering soon.
I came back to 1600 emails in my GMail account and am in the middle of clearing the inbox. I don't want to think about my bloglines inbox (checks….58586 new feed items…..passes out. I have got too many feeds)
